I am intrigued! I simply cannot find it. I even tried searching "Dick Van Dyke" in iTunes and the only Birdie recording that comes up with him is the film.

In my search results you can also see the incorrectly labeled London recording.

I remember when this cd came out a review, possibly by Ken Mandelbaum, said u could hear the orchestra and arrangements much better than on the Broadway and it was a real treat for this reason. Now, u could probably hear the Bway cast recording on youtube or elsewhere.

That was Steven Suskin's review for playbill.com. I remember it well because I then bought the recording and couldn't really hear what he was talking about. Now I can, but just a little bit, but I think it may be because I think a smaller orchestra is used on the London recording. Fewer strings and so the winds come out more. Also, perhaps the orchestra is a bit more forward on the London cast recording, but the CD release has distortion in places, and the cast is inferior to the Broadway cast.
