| I liked the show downtown and up. I think you left out one major factor: the controversy. You will recall, I'm sure, that the show came reasonably close to never happening, and left a sour taste in more than a few mouths because of its failed money-saving maneuver. I would think that the demographics of the nom committee probably skews more heavily toward that end of the pH scale. Nature abhors a vacuum but the Tonys abhors a controversy. |
