| Well, I guess terminology has just gotten a little looser over time in terms of what's a true concert and what's a true stage production (Encores has blurred that line for a while now). And admittedly, I have wryly referred to the Doyle Sweeney Todd as a "concert version" (because I saw very little opportunity for acting and character relationship going on as people were too busy playing their instruments), so I guess it's all in the eye of the beholder. But the descriptions in the press release of this one did seem to be contradictory. |
