I'm generally not a fan of Sondheim, according to Doyle. I was especially bummed out by his 2017 Off-Broadway revival of ''Pacific Overtures,'' which he cut down to a 90-minute, one-act show and dropped ''Chrysanthemum Tea.'' But I did enjoy Doyle's 2013 ''Passion'' with Judy Kuhn and Ryan Silverman.
