| I really enjoyed the original ''Bonnie & Clyde'' in 2011, starring Jeremy Jordan, but it closed after only 33 previews and 36 performances. On the other hand, had it not closed early, Jordan couldn't have rejoined ''Newsies'' and gotten a Tony nomination for his signature role as Jack Kelly. Who could've ever guessed that ''Bonnie & Clyde'' would find a second life a dozen years later in London, winning awards and fans on the West End? And I love that Don Black and Frank Wildhorn wrote a terrifically tuneful score - something that I haven't heard so far from this spring's new musicals. |
