| Meanwhile, it's been more than 75 years since this piece, considered one of the first concept musicals, was given a major professional staging. While various songs have been performed and recorded over the years, the foundation is still holding out on us for a complete recording. Don't they want the possibility of other productions being done and residuals from this as well as putting forth another of Weill's major works? Isn't that part of the foundation's mission? |
