| It was far from certain that there would have been a Love Life recording from Encores! if the production had not been canceled. The Weill Foundation was not planning to allow the Encores! production of Love Life to be recorded because Encores! was making changes that the foundation would allow for a production but not for a recording. There was a possibility that if the a recording could be made going back to the score as written, then the foundation would have allowed a recording, but it was not clear that could be done. At least this is what I've been told by someone who has worked a lot for the foundation. |
