| Most of it is a flashback to the background of the main bad guy from the last season plus interpolations from some of the adult characters from the series in their youth. So potentially episode 7 of series 4 ("The massacre at Hawkins Labs") as it did the big reveal on him, is really all you need, unless you particularly want to remind yourself about the earlier relationships between Joyce (Winona Ryder), Hopper (David Harbour) and Bob (Sean Astin), in which case something from season 2 probably makes sense. |
