Your line didn’t offend. It was humorous.
I can report audience behavior was everything you’d want last night. Maybe because it was a Tuesday.
To my mind they were engaged, festively dresses, respectful, never over the top, applause entrance for Bebe Neuwirth, loud cheers only a couple times at the end of big numbers like Cabaret and What Would You Do, and a standing ovation that felt earned (to me anyway). It felt like a very well behaved crowd.
I can argue the substance of this show but I understand why not all the choices would work for everyone. I think we may be able to agree reactions are wildly mixed. And I’m not going to slam Merrily. It was so good I saw it twice which I rarely do. |
