| I loved Lempicka and I have seen in three times now. I just don’t understand all the hate. There is so much to engage you from the powerful singing to the excellent design, lighting and projections. I found all the performances powerful not just Eden. George Abud, Natalie Joy Johnson, Beth Leavel and Amber Iman get their own solos and all are great artists. I wouldn’t know the first thing about how to create art deco choreography but Kelly has designed some moves and ensemble numbers that give me goosies. I could just imagine “Perfection” performed at the Super Bowl half time show. That’s how slick, grand and a bit campy it is. Once was enough for the elephants and acrobats. Actually once was too much. For art, entertainment and love I’m heading back to Lempicka again as I patiently wait for the cast recording. |
